Progress on the Fresh Start Move it Forward Vocational Project

Well, it's been about a month into the vocational project I designed for the clubhouse I belong to in Ann Arbor, Fresh Start Clubhouse, and we already have two successes. The first success was when a student nurse who was volunteering at Fresh Start as part of her nursing studies was able to secure a job a hospital with the help of our interview workshops. The second success came when a member was able to succeed in his interview at a retail store after I and a couple of other members helped him with a mock interview.

Confessions of a social media marketer

This is the first in a series of daily posts on my journey to becoming a social media marketing leader.

It is very easy to get overwhelmed in your social media campaign. When I first decided to advise others about social media marketing as a business I panicked. “Do I know enough about all the tools,” I asked myself. There are new tools coming out all the time. So I went about going back to my Digg account and other bookmarking accounts to improve my skills with those tools.

As I was trying to get up to speed on all the social marketing tools, I noticed something very interesting happening to my mind. It was turning to Gelatin!

Then, I decided to focus on the three main tools that I have been using: Blogger, Twitter, and Facebook. These are my big three social media marketing tools. When I went back to Twitter, I was delighted with the improvement of the interface. I have been writing blogs for awhile, but have recently have discovered the many Blogger tools which can help me and my clients with our social marketing campaigns.

Most, importantly I found out an amazing secret about Blogger.

So take heart all you would-be social media marketers – there is an easier way of building a social media campaign.

What is a Wellspring Effect

A wellspring is a path coming up through the ground's surface whereby naturally purified water "wells up" from the water table beneath, creating a pond or stream.

An economic wellspring effect begins when someone or a group of people produce positive referrals or comments within a social or communications network. Rippling economic energy is then produced to the extent the original message stream was clear, focused, and sent in a repeated powerful way.

This also known as "word of mouth," advertising. This is the best way to get the word out on your product, service, or cause.
